What do you post on social media?

Should it be all about real estate or should you show your personal side?

How do you create great posts anyway?

We were invited to do a presentation at a local office and we covered just that and more.

Take a look at this.

Once you know who your talking to, the next piece is knowing what to say and that is actually a bit easier. A great format to use is problem, solution, result.

Your client has a PROBLEM – going back to the police officer example, they want to sell their home, but they don’t know how, or how to protect themselves in the process.

The SOLUTION is to work with an experienced broker that knows how to get the home ready for sale and how to depersonalize and keep identifying information out of public view.

Which is going to RESULT in a smooth safe transaction where the officer sells their home and moves into a new one without incident.

This short story format is going to capture the interest of people in your target market and will resonate with those looking to work with you.

If you focus on this format for your marketing you can apply it to so many things, everything has a story if you put it in the Problem, solution, result format. And stories generate a lot more interest than the Look at me type posts that are common with Realtors.

Speaking of posts, should all of your posts be real estate related?

I like to follow:

40% Local information – What’s going on and what’s new with schools, restaurants, local businesses etc All stuff that’s pertinent with your target market.

30% Engagement – Ask questions that people will reply to. 

20% Personal – Your clients and potential customers need to see your personal side so they can get to know you and relate to you.

10% Real Estate – New Listings, Closings, open houses, education etc.
